Just incase you miss a ferry, miss a flight, etc....here's the information to get a taxi on Fraser Island from the two ferry crossing points:
"You can catch the barge from River Heads (just south of Hervey Bay) to Kingfisher Bay. The barges leave River Heads at 6.45am, 9.00 am, 12.30 pm, 3.30pm, 6.30 pm, the barge ride takes approx 45 mins. If you google 'Kingfisher Bay' they own the barges. Wanggoolba Ck (on Fraser Island) will also be listed as an arrival destination, and a little closer to Eurong, but not a very comfortable place if you need to wait, for any reason that the taxi may be late (depending on the driving conditions of the tracks on the island at the time).
We can pick you up from Kingfisher Bay (on Fraser Island) to Eurong Resort, the cost is $85 for the taxi for up to 5 people, the trip from Kingfisher Bay to Eurong takes approx 1 hr.
As there is only one taxi on the island, therefore it is advisable to book well ahead to ensure your travel arrangements.
